Additional measures to protect and assist customers

 The Bank continues its operations, while prioritising the safety of its customers and staff

AstroBank will implement additional measures in its branches’ operations as of 31 March 2020, with the aim of providing a better service to its customers and prioritising the protection of its customers and staff from the Covid-19 virus. More specifically, from 8:00am until 10:00am daily, the bank will only serve customers aged over 60 years old and those who belong to the vulnerable groups, as these are defined in the Ministry of Health announcements.

The following transactions will be carried out at the Bank’s branches:

  • Cash Withdrawals/Deposits
  • Cheque Deposits/Redemptions
  • Orders/receipts of debit cards, credit cards, cheque books and online banking – Winbank access codes. The Winbank codes and debit cards will be ordered, issued and delivered to the customers within 15 minutes
  • Internal transfers to AstroBank accounts and outgoing remittances.

 An appointment with the Branch is required to open accounts and visit lockers. The contact details of all branches can be found on the website www.astrobank.com 

It is noted that the following measures are already being implemented at AstroBank’s branches:

  • The flow of customers is managed and controlled in order to protect staff and customers
  • Special signs have been placed on the floors to ensure customers keep a safe distance from staff and other customers
  • All areas of the branches are cleaned and disinfected daily, intensively and continuously
  • Hand sanitizers are available in all parts of the branches for customers to use, while staff wear gloves.

The Bank has also installed special protective screens between the staff and customers at all of its branches.

For further protection and a swifter service, customers are encouraged to use the Bank’s digital channels:

  • Free cash withdrawals, via debit card, from all of our Branch Network’s ATMs and the 350+ ATMs of the Euronet network island-wide.
  • Free cash deposits at our Branch Network’s ATMs
  • Carrying out transactions online / Mobile Banking (Winbank).

Use of SKASH Electronic Wallet for money transfers, instantly, to others, whether they are customers of the Bank or not (www.skash.com).

  • Payments preferably by card, contactless, instead of using cash.

Furthermore, up until 30 April 2020 the Bank will instantly issue debit cards for customers who have misplaced them, without charge, while it will re-issue Internet Banking PINs, again without charge.
