Aristidis Vourakis: AstroBank always next to Europa Donna Cyprus
The virtual 2021 Pink Figures March was a great success
This year’s Pink Figures March by Europa Donna Cyprus took place virtually on Saturday, 9 October. As was the case last year, the annual event, which took place with the strategic cooperation of AstroBank for the 12th consecutive year, involved a torchlight procession due to the pandemic restrictions, but still managed to relay the message of victory against breast and ovarian cancer in Cyprus.
The public participated en masse thanks to social media, while the march was transmitted live by Alpha TV. The torchlight procession started off from the Europa Donna Cyprus House, made a stop at the AstroBank Central Administration Building, and ended at Eleftheria Square. It was joined by a number of political, business, sport and culture personalities, as well as women who have beaten cancer.
During the torchlight procession’s stop, AstroBank CEO Mr Aristides Vourakis addressed the women and men whose participation in the event sent a message of life; a message of victory against breast and ovarian cancer. “For yet another year, along with thousands of members of the public who are watching us live online, we are here to support this collective effort by Europa Donna Cyprus. AstroBank has always been by the side of Cypriot society and we intend to continue to do so.”
