AstroBank continues to support the “Sophia Foundation for Children”

The Bank “adopted” one of the collective giraffes

from the Giraffes for Hope campaign!

As part of its social contribution and steadfast in the principle that a socially responsible organisation must actively support people and society, AstroBank has participated in the latest charity campaign by the “Sophia Foundation for Children”, entitled “Giraffes for Hope”.

The Sophia Foundation for Children has raised the bar even higher this year. As high… as a giraffe. This is an important initiative, starring 20 giraffes that were created for free by 20 well-known Cypriot artists.

Following a draw that took place at an event in the Ministry of Interior’s gardens, under the auspices of First Lady Mrs Andri Anastasiades, AstroBank “adopted” one of the 20 collective giraffes, which was created by Cypriot artist Demetris Neokleous. What stands out about the artwork is its intense and vibrant colours, which relay a message of joy and optimism. Colourful and rhythmic, flexible and alternating, Demetris Neokleous’ work has marked the beginning of a new era in Cyprus’ art scene.

All proceeds will go to children in need in Cyprus and Kenya. The focus will be on their right to education and dignified living. All giraffes were “adopted” for the price of €5,000.

The “Sophia Foundation for Children” was founded in 2008 by Cypriot volunteers, with the aim of contributing to the fight against poverty and its consequences, especially on children, who are among the most sensitive population groups.
