The first bank in Cyprus to offer the ACA certification

 Launch of cooperation with ICAEW - the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales

 AstroBank, in cooperation with ICAEW - the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, is offering to eligible candidates the opportunity to acquire the ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualification. The agreement with ICAEW makes AstroBank the first bank in Cyprus, to be officially recognised as an authorised ICAEW training employer.
 
In his remarks, AstroBank Deputy Managing Director George Appios, referred to the great importance of cooperating with ICAEW, underlining the fact that professional development is an integral part of the process of acquiring the ACA qualification. “This agreement reaffirms our organisation’s commitment to providing its members of staff with a high level of education, thereby helping them make the most of their potential and talent”, said Mr Appios.
 
ICAEW President Fiona Wilkinson welcomed AstroBank to the family of ICAEW authorised training employers, noting that the ACA is a very high-level qualification which can open up countless opportunities worldwide for its holders in the fields of accounting, finance and business. “We are delighted to begin our partnership with AstroBank. The high-quality services offered by the bank are inextricably linked to the quality of its employees. We are confident that trainees within the organisation will receive a high level of vocational training, which, combined with their academic studies, will allow them to achieve their full potential.”, she stated.
