AstroBank leads the way with new Paperless Cashier digital service
AstroBank is yet again leading the way in the digital transformation of the Cyprus banking sector, by installing the “Paperless Cashier” service at all of its branches.
Acknowledging the challenges of the modern era, the Bank has launched a new service offering customers a new over-the-counter banking experience, thereby improving its customer service capabilities. In this way, the Bank makes full use of digital technologies to the benefit of both the public as well as its staff.
Moreover, the service promotes environmental awareness and demonstrates AstroBank’s devotion to protecting the environment, as transactions can now be carried out using less consumables, such as paper and ink. The state-of-the-art and environmentally-friendly process is part of the Bank’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility strategy.
With the Paperless Cashiers, customers can now visit an AstroBank branch to carry out over-the-counter transactions (cash deposits, cash withdrawals, wire transfers etc.) and sign on a tablet instead of paper. Then, the digitally-signed transaction is sent to the customer’s personal email, which also enables the customer to store it on their computer or mobile phone for easier retrieval in the future. If, however, they do not wish to receive their receipt electronically, they can ask for it to be printed.
AstroBank’s new service has been very well-received by the public and staff members of the bank who have used it so far, since already 50% of transactions are paperless.
The Bank is planning to make use of this new technology for a number of services, while it also aims to develop other pioneering products and introduce new, simple and swift procedures, always with the aim of offering the highest level of customer service.
